Event Details

The White House beer summit will have nothing on our meeting of local members from the tea and coffee parties.

The Sun Sentinel and Nova Southeastern University will host a panel discussion with representatives of the tea and coffee movements. The panel will explore whether the movements are a fad or fixture in politics.

Antonio Fins, Sun Sentinel opinion page editor, will be the moderator for the summit with party members and an NSU history professor.

Join us for a lively and insightful conversation. Tickets are required for admission. Register to get one!

Note: This is not a political event. Placards or flags will not be permitted inside NSU's Terry Building.

Free parking is available in a garage adjacent to the Terry Building.

The Sun Sentinel traces its roots to Fort Lauderdale's early settlement days.

By the end of the Great Depression, the newspaper along with Fort Lauderdale, emerged from the economic downturn and began a dramatic growth cycle.

In 1963, the SunSentinel was purchased by its present owners, the Tribune Co. of Chicago, linking it with an international group of media and publication properties.

Lynn University was established as Marymount College in 1962 by the Religious of the Sacred Heart of Mary as a junior college for women.

It became the four-year College of Boca Raton in 1974 and changed to Lynn University on Sept. 20, 1991, in honor of longtime college benefactors Eugene and Christine Lynn.

The university is on a 123-acre campus at 3601 N. Military Trail, Boca Raton.
